Its times like these we are thankful for flying vampires with guns. Do we know how many others of the remaining vampires descended from a flying bloodline?
Mac is going to have a lot to catch up on back at home. And we are reminded once again that Math is a bit of a bastard, to lie to the others about Mac’s condition when he knows otherwise.

poor Mac, thats a horrible scenario, I hope Devian can at least get him out of the crowded area, Im glad we got to see more of her, I was sad thinking that she was going to end up paralysed after Mexico is wiped out.

Wait, so Math actually /did/ know that Mac was surrounded by zombies? I figured Math said Mac was fine because he could tell that Mac was still alive, and was trying to appear optimistic. Can Math sense zombies as well? I guess it would sort of make sense, but I just assumed he could only sense humans that are still alive, what with them being his food and all. So then, “He’s fine.” = “He’s still alive, and has an active pulse.” =P
Or is that way off base?

Well, assuming when Math and Val showed up he was able to pinpoint the exact numbers of people alive in the building, tell them how far away the nearest zombie was, how far away Mac was, and how close a zombie was to Mac, he knew Mac was in teh shit. Now, as Bobby said, this doesn’t make Math a jackass for lying, just pragmatic. With only 2 vamps available to save him (Math knows Devian is in the area, but has know way to contact her), the most appropriate course of action is too let Mac dies, instead of leading a horde of zombies back to the school and maybe still not being able to save Mac.
Besides, even if he couldn’t sense zombies, don’t ya think that if he can sense Mac pulse, he would notice the jump from adrenaline?

Look at Panel 2 of my sketch (through the Top Web Comics voting button). Mac is standing in front of a gun shop that he just came out of. Other than food and water, the main things Mac needed to get on his trip were weapons and ammo, as he discussed with Grady and Murdo before leaving.

Remember that these zombies can use guns if TFZ gets involved and starts giving them direct orders. Suddenly becomes a lot less of a good thing to be in the air where they can all shoot you.
But for now, let me say that this sequence will rock if you can get the movie made.
Notice BTW that she is making headshots. Multiple headshots with minimal aiming while in rapid motion AND firing from both hands. Even if her flight is excpetionally smooth that is a truly scary level of skill.
And at least one of those shots (given the angles) went within a couple inches of hitting the human as it went past.

Interesting how the zombies all turned to look at her when they smelled vampire blood. This does not bode well for our flying vampire.

Actually we see four zombies getting shot in the last panel and the current flashes from her guns are shooting two off-screen zombies. The four we see getting shot were from her two previous double shots, which happened within the previous one second or so.

theory on flight:
