THIS COMIC IS NOT OVER AND NEW PAGES WILL CONTINUE TO RUN ON THIS SITE STARTING NO LATER THAN JANUARY 1ST, PROBABLY STARTING CHRISTMAS DAY! ALSO, TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE SOMEHOW WONDERING, THERE IS ZERO VODKA IN THOSE BOTTLES, NONE, NO VODKA! ALSO, MATHESON IS SAYING HE’S THE 24TH HUMAN (MANY WERE CONFUSED).
———–
Thus ends the first Last Blood graphic novel. Owen and I would like to thank all the readers for their support and for making Last Blood the most popular horror comic online. I’m happy to announce that there will now 100% definitely be a sequel, which will almost certainly begin within six weeks, hopefully by the end of the year. In the meantime I’ll be posting selected pages from the Last Blood screenplay, with the first one going up sometime next week, so keep coming back for those! This is just the beginning.

I hear that Wowio will probably be extended to the Non-Stateside crowd in the future. Not sure when, kinda tired and don’t want to look it up.

Jesse, that is hands down the best question I have ever read, ever, in all of history.

  2. Grym Says:

‘A page of it might go up tomorrow’

    Yay! Thank you!

‘Grym, I think I understand why Bobby gets so mad at us fanboys. Devian’s birth has been stated hundreds of times.’
I’ve only truly been reading the comments for four pages 🙁 And would you really consider that minor detail plot? That was more curiosity.
And how do you know I’m not a fangirl?

  3. Anko Says:

“No clue why it was cutting off the end of your post.”

It happens every time you post the symbol that’s just like this – > except that it points in the other direction. WordPress apparently thinks that you’re trying to make an HTML tag.

“This mixture though… Will it work on zombies?”

“Am I missing out on anything exciting here in the UK?”

Two pages with a little info on Rage and a certain other vampire that hasn’t been featured in the comic, they have a brief description plus a full-body drawing and a sketch of the face. (You can see the sketches here: http://www.lastblood.net/main/2007/09/09/pin-up-new-vampires-preview/ ) Oh, and there’s also a pin-up of Addison Payne that was linked to in one of Bobby’s blog posts. Get it here: http://lastblood.net/pinup-payne2.jpg
And the last issue contains a bit of dialog from the next graphic novel.

  4. Tegu Says:

When gender is unknown, the male is standard. Would you rather I call you a fan-it? I didn’t think so. Though if you have only been reading for four pages, you should still have caught that Devian was born a vampire.

  5. Anko Says:

Jeez, it is obvious that Devian was born a vampire if you read the comic itself. http://www.lastblood.net/main/2007/07/31/page-66-the-schaemiac/ I quote: “Blah blah blah, scare us as CHILDREN, blah blah blah.”

  6. Grym Says:

Ok, ok I’m sorry. I’m not particularly perceptive. I’ll try not to ask anymore questions.

  7. Liadon666 Says:

this is one of the best webcomics i´ve ever read, the whole concept is brilliant and it´s the first time i´ve seen vampires used as the means to Save mankind, don´t know if othewrs have seen that before and frankly don´t care, the art work is blindingly brilliant and the connection to the different characters is awesome, they have really been fleshed good in my opinion, the whole deal about zombie creation is just pure genius as well, hope we will be seeing more of this and soon, hanging on for the next part with the tips of my toes. hopefully they´ll leave one vampire to ” repopulate” that part of the world as well heh. making the humans protect the vampire would be another pretty cool twist on things. looking forward for the next

  8. Moki Says:

Somehow I was expecting the change from vamp to human to be a bit more… dramatic.

  9. Dro Says:

Hey, Bobby, so do you have the script done yet? When do you plan on having it casted?

  10. Altair Says:

‘Don’t be too shocked if we discover early in the sequel that one of our hero humans actually received a similar injury as Principal Howard during the latest big battle and escape. ‘

*gasps* if it’s Mac, I’m gonna cry. Ditto Grady.

  11. Grym Says:

It can’t be Mac, because Devian licked his blood and couldn’t taste anything odd.

  12. Dom Says:

    didn’t he lose an ear?

  13. Blood Rose Says:

i must say applause is in order. i have explored the web for some time looking for excelent comics and i have to say this is my favorite so far. wonderful simple story with amazing art, and identifiable characters.
    LB ROX!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. WolfSheep Says:

Don’t beat me, but it’s not a coincidence that the writer of the book “I am legend” goes by the name of “Richard Matheson” – just as human number 24 is called Matheson…right?
(I fear the “This has been answered a zillion times in the comments”)

  15. Bobby Crosby Says:

    WolfSheep: Google.

  16. WolfSheep Says:

I hate both the fact that google answers nearly everything and even more myself because I didn’t try this first ^^

  17. Kenny C. Says:

Didn’t you see Math, holding the picket sign that explained the origin of his name? Hm, I thought I changed the comic so he would be holding that sign all the time. Ah well.

  18. Matt Says:

Makeup can be cheap as anything. Go to YouTube and look up Indy Mogul. They recently did a whole video on zombies as part of their “mogulween” eps

  19. Grth Says:

So they have one less combat ready vampire and there’s no Vokda? They just arnt winning today are they?

  20. Vib Says:

No need to be combat ready when you have an army of 3000 zombies with submachine guns….

  21. Tegu Says:

Am I an idiot? Why can’t I find the screen play?

Or is it not posted yet?

  22. Bobby Crosby Says:

    Not posted yet obviously.

  23. Arran Says:

Can’t wait for the movie, but I suppose I’ll have to.
I think Addison Fucking Payne is right up there with Deacon Frost (in the movie) as one of the coolest, most bad-ass vampires ever. You should really be proud, both of you. I think you’ve really created something immortal.

P.S. Have you ever read the Kal Jerico graphic novels? There’s a crime boss called Nemo that looks a bit like AFP. Again, seriously well done. I hope mine ends up as good as this.

  24. Juuso Says:

Hi, sorry if this has already been asked and answered -but now that Addison Payne is dead who will be the next mastermind behind all the inventions humans need to survive? Perhaps he had an assistant not yet shown or perhaps one of the vampires is really smart? Or perhaps this is a stupid question 😀 Even if none of them were that smart, they could get to be so since they’re immortal.

In any case, through a rather short train of thought I found myself wondering about a thing I’d love to hear the answer to: After going through the pains, is there a downside to being a schaemiac? Neither Sullivan or the First Zombie whos’ name I forgot seem to feel too uncomfortable in their current state.

Finland paper, scissors rocks yo mama’s wheelchair!

  25. Cezzez Says:

On my slow connection, I have just spent 7 hours reading from start to finish. I wish you all the best of luck with the film. I’m anxious to read the sequels and prequels that are yet to come. Very good work indeed.

  26. Jon Pander Says:

I’m literally gonna beg you Mr Crosby, don’t let the one who is changing to a zombie be Mac. (and yes I know there have already been comments that it probably isnt because of Devian licking him and not tasting a difference, but you also said that it doesn’t seem too different until a few hours later)

My reasoning for why I don’t want it to be Mac is because Mac is simply AWESOME in that he’s the one and only human who has the ability to keep up with the vamps in the fight against the zombies -without- falling against them.

Admittedly, if he got cured before he turned, he still would be the only human who has gone up with the vamps against the zombies without falling to them… but it’s so much cooler if he manages to keep himself human because of his own sheer awesomeness instead of relying on the vampire (and possibly latent zombie) cure.

Grady’s a much better choice if you’re going to choose between Mac and Grady. He’s not a fighter, he doesn’t have the sheer awesomeness that Mac possesses in every strand of DNA. He’s the one with the snappy one liners. Snappy one liners don’t protect you from zombies like concentrated liquid awesome and a good axe will. Plus no vamps have tasted Grady’s blood yet, so you can bypass people making dumb questions like ‘exactly when does the blood change’ by avoiding the question altogether.

Just my opinion as a devoted Mac fan.

  27. Tegu Says:

THIS IS THE BEST PAGE SO FAR!

  28. DADFSADFSADFSADFSS Says:

    This is kewl

  29. Elppy Says:

I’m sorry, this seems kinda rigged to me.
    I dunno, like, too Hollywood-ish.
WHEEE, we all get our happy endings!
    I’m GLAD they do, it’s just…
    I don’t like it.
    I’m sorry. u.u

  30. soldierby Says:

My god, amazing gentlemen. I thank you for the last 3 hours i spent reading this, just wish had a better connection and did not have to wait.
I cannot wait to see more, the best of luck. wow kick ass.
    thanx

  31. Trilbydude Says:

    Ooooooooooooooooh, vodka still rocks though.

  32. Alain Richard Says:

that was freakin awsome man! Good Job, I hope that this leads to a great carreer for you guys because you where cleary just meant to do this.

  33. Annelise Says:

I followed Marry Me all the way through, then decided to try this one. Read it all in one sitting. Definitely the best webcomic I’ve ever read, and in the upper level of the top ten comics I’ve ever read. Great job.

  34. Glorificus Says:

So if Addison “Fucking” Payne’s magic vodka cures vampires of vamp-dom, what will it do to zombies that are mostly fresh and not all putrid and stuff? Will it cure them since they were turned by a sorta vampire too?
