Page 10: Not Enough Bullets
Monday, January 15th, 2007Artist Owen Gieni did a really nice job on this page. Love the zombies. Looks like some hand to hand combat will be necessary soon. I hope Mac didn’t take their only axe.
Full scale casting is underway! Sort of. We listed the major roles on a big casting web site and have received a million responses so far. Almost 500 actresses have submitted themselves for the role of April, in just a couple days. Some have big credits on their resume. Exciting stuff. Nice to see that there’s a big talent pool out there to choose from. Looking forward to holding auditions when we’re ready in a few months.

Yo. Where might i find this website? It’s probably somewhere here, but i can’t/too lazy to find it. Moving on, I can see what you mean by the art. The zombies eyes, the hair, and the general framework of the bodies is fabulous. Oh, and uh… Shouldn’t there be a vampire to protect the humans? I guess i’ll have to wait and see.

It’s lacasting.com. And yeah, vampires very soon!

Fantastic concept, thanks for bringing it to life. Or Unlife. Something like that. Can’t wait to see more.

Ok, Bobby? This is starting to shape up into an exciting zombie/vampire story. Keep it up! Just one thing: when it comes to filming, have you thought about filming it so that all the colors look grayish, with the exception of blood? It would set a real nice tone, I think.

I’ll probably just end up going with regular full color, but I’ll consider everything. Owen suggested a red sky earlier. I probably won’t do anything too crazy, though, unless it looks really, really good. The size of the budget will probably affect such things.

Yeah, budget is a big problem for all movies… Good luck.

Don’t know if you will even know I commented, but I just found out about this comic today. Anycase, you can get those gray tones and such in post. Screw around with saturation and color balancing and you can get some nice stuff. So long as you’re doing it yourself (post, that is) should be quite easy to get what you need.
If you’re paying somebody for it, then yeah.. definitely screw it. But it might be cool to get some more gray tones. Pay attention to wardrobe and the background so far as colors, too. As a fellow writer/director figured I’d try to help.
