Does nobody get that the reason Math wants the arm cut off is because of all the blood? It's less of a personal issue and more of a blood sucking vampire issue. They turn the moment they DIE. Jimmy's injuries KILLED HIM quickly, getting his throat torn out, while Mustache Man only had a scrape on his finger. Any bite whatsoever will make you become a zombie (die) within 24 hours, but if you die before that from the severity of the injury, you become a zombie instantly after you die.
